Scream
2005, video installation
A construction was made inviting the visitor to enter a corridor. Once inside, the space gets lower and narrower as one gets inside. At the end the visitor comes face to face with a video of some people shouting at her. They shout in Icelandic and, since the work has been shown in Trieste and Zagreb, it is quite probable that nobody understands what they are saying. The emotion is, nevertheless, unmistakable. The anger coming through the screams doesn’t need the understanding of words to be comprehensible.
